Procurement & Stock Administrator

Our client, a well-known Fruit Packhouse in the Breede River Valley, is seeking to recruit a competent, committed, self-motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join their team as the Procurement & Stock Administrator

Responsibilities:

  • Determine and drive strategic direction for the department and continuously improve and optimize stock control procedures.
  • Monitoring and controlling stock levels, usage and ordering to ensure operations have adequate material to achieve efficiencies but avoiding excessive surplus.
  • Record daily deliveries and usage to reconcile stock and to identify shortages.
  • Administrate systems with regards to stock ordering, receival, usage and waste. Assist with the setup of Bill of materials.
  • Monitor and evaluate service delivery of suppliers, ensuring that all stock arrive on time and without delay.
  • Prepare detailed reports on stock operations, stock levels, usage and adjustments.
  • Coordinate all stock takes, variance analysis of all stock and stock counts and put corrective measures in place.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Previous experience in a similar position will be advantageous.

  • Effective handling of detailed information and consistent attention to detail
  • Must be a team player
  • Strong aptitude for systems and process management
