Our client, a respected Chartered Accountancy firm based in the Cape Town CBD, is seeking a motivated individual to serve in the dual role of Receptionist and Administrative Assistant.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for an organised individual who can work independently and multitask effectively to join their team in a fast-paced, supportive professional environment.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Managing Partner diary, appointments, emails, and travel claims
- Answering telephone calls and taking messages where applicable
- Sending monthly invoices to clients
- Ordering and maintaining stationery, office consumables, kitchen supplies, and other office necessities
- Drafting letters and assisting secretarial staff where required
- Booking and liaising with pest control services and any other service providers deemed necessary for the office
- Attending to CIPC annual return and beneficial ownership submissions
- Maintaining the staff attendance register
- Assisting with the recruitment and onboarding of new staff members, including ensuring that staff have the necessary office equipment, resources, and workstation setup
- Running personal errands for the Partners where required
Requirements:
- Preferably 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
