Lead Operational Excellence in a Fast-Paced Manufacturing Environment
Our client, an established manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee the end-to-end supply chain function within a high-volume production environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an operationally focused professional who thrives on managing logistics, fleet operations, procurement, warehousing, and supplier relationships while ensuring uninterrupted production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all inbound and outbound logistics activities
- Lead fleet operations, transport planning and vehicle utilisation
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Oversee procurement of key operational consumables and services
- Manage warehouse operations, inventory control and dispatch
- Ensure continuous availability of materials required for production
- Monitor operational performance through KPIs and reporting
- Lead and develop multidisciplinary operational teams
- Drive operational efficiencies, cost optimisation and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality and company standards
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Management or a related field
- 5–8 years’ experience in supply chain or logistics management
- Proven experience managing warehouse, fleet and logistics operations
- Strong leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Experience within one or more of the following sectors will be an advantage:
- Manufacturing
- FMCG
- Industrial processing
- Transport and logistics
