Position Overview:
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, ensuring smooth workflow, profitability, and outstanding customer experiences. This role involves driving sales, managing staff, controlling inventory, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Store Operations:

  • Oversee daily operations across all store departments for efficiency and consistency.
  • Implement company standards to minimise stock loss and maintain inventory control.
  • Ensure exceptional store presentation, product quality, and service delivery.

Sales & Customer Service:

  • Achieve or exceed sales targets monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase sales and store footfall.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve queries or complaints professionally.

Staff Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Assistant Managers and store staff.
  • Foster teamwork, collaboration, and a positive work environment.
  • Create staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage and conduct performance evaluations.

Inventory & Stock Control:

  • Oversee stock management, including receiving, pricing, and merchandising.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Build strong supplier and vendor relationships for competitive procurement.

Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and expense reports.
  • Monitor expenses and implement strategies to maximise profitability.
  • Analyse sales reports and adjust plans based on market trends and competition.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain security protocols to prevent theft and loss.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of retail operations, sales techniques, and customer service.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.
  • Sales-driven with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organised, and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Arch.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and accountable in a dynamic retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5–10 years of experience in Retail Management or a similar leadership role.
  • Diploma or Degree in Retail Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • A finance or accounting qualification is an advantage.
